Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
This policy explains what information the Equilibrium Planner app ("Equilibrium", "the app", "we") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Equilibrium is developed by Gregory Jack. If you have any questions, email gregory@gregory-jack.com.
1. Information we collect
Information stored on your device
Everything you create in Equilibrium (events, tasks and ideas on your Pinboard, goals and milestones, life-area targets, routines, life stage presets, your habit and its check-ins, and app settings) is saved on your device. If you use the app without signing in, this information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Your account (if you sign in with Google)
When you sign in, we use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to create your Equilibrium account. We receive your Google account's unique ID, email address, name and profile photo link. Your plans (the items listed above), the start date of your free trial, and your habit history are then saved to your account in Google Cloud Firestore so they are backed up and restored if you reinstall the app.
Google Calendar (if you connect it)
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, you grant Equilibrium permission to access your Google Calendar. We use this access only to:
- read the list of your calendars and the events in the date range you choose, so you can import them into Equilibrium (free accounts import from the main calendar; Pro accounts can choose which of the calendars in their Google account to import, such as family, shared or holiday calendars);
- add events you create in Equilibrium to your Google Calendar, and update or remove those same events when you change or delete them in the app.
Imported events (their title, start and end time, and whether they are all-day) are saved in the app and, if you are signed in, in your account. We do not use your calendar data for anything else.
Purchases
Pro subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether you have an active subscription. RevenueCat receives your Equilibrium account ID (or an anonymous ID if you aren't signed in) and your purchase history from the store. We never see or store your payment card details.
Ideas and feedback you send
When you use Share an idea, we store your message, the category you chose, your account ID (if signed in), your device platform (for example Android) and whether you have Pro. Your email address is included only if you tick the box allowing us to contact you.
Reminders
Event reminders are scheduled on your device. If you allow notifications and "Alarms & reminders", these are used only to remind you about your own events.
What we don't collect
Equilibrium has no advertising, does not use analytics or tracking tools, and does not collect your location, contacts, photos or files.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the app's features: planning, balance analysis, goals, habits and reminders.
- To back up your plans to your account and restore them when you sign in.
- To import events from, and add events to, your Google Calendar when you ask us to.
- To check whether you have a free trial or Pro subscription.
- To read and respond to ideas and feedback you send, and to improve the app.
3. Google user data (Limited Use)
Equilibrium's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We use Google Calendar data only to provide the calendar features you can see in the app.
- We do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your notice.
- We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- No person reads your Google Calendar data unless you ask us to (for example, to help with a problem you report), it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We share information only with service providers that help run the app, and only as needed:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore) | Sign-in and storing your account's data. Data is stored in the United States. |
| Google (Google Calendar API) | Importing and creating calendar events, only if you connect your calendar. |
| Google Play | Processing subscription payments. |
| RevenueCat | Confirming your subscription status. |
We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. How long we keep information
Your account data is kept until you delete your account. Ideas and feedback you send are kept so we can consider them; you can ask us to delete them. Purchase records may be kept by Google Play and RevenueCat as required for tax and accounting purposes.
6. Your choices and rights
- Use the app without an account. Signing in is optional.
- Disconnect Google. Sign out in Settings. You can also remove Equilibrium's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete your account. In the app, go to Settings → Delete account & data, or follow the steps on our account deletion page.
- Access or correct your information. Email us and we will help.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example in the EU, UK or California). Contact us to exercise them.
7. Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections. Data saved to your account is protected so that only you, when signed in, can read or change it.
8. Children
Equilibrium is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
